- Adequate protection against HPC infection that can cause cervical cancer.
- Fight against most common and aggressive virus.
- Protect against additional type of HPV virus that also cause cancer.
- Good immune response will produce high neutralizing antibodies level.
- Long time protection.
- High protection rate even to local infection area (cervix).
- Good immunity profile/protection.
- Affordable.
When Vaccination is best given
- As preventive action from infection by oncogenic HPV, vaccination is best given as early as possible and can be given for girls as young as 10 years old. (29)
- Besides, almost all women can have benefit from vaccination because:
- A woman is at risk of HPV infection during her life.
- Previous HPV infection did not always produce an immunity to protect our body from next infection. (30)
- Data shows the older a woman the bigger the risk of persistent HPV infection and it can trigger pre cancerous lesion becoming a cervical cancer. (31)
Vaccination Schedule
Vaccination is to be given three times: month 0, 1 or 2, and month 6
Example: First vaccination on January
Second vaccination on February or March
Third vaccination on July
